Many thanks to Lisa Dee Meyerson Marshall for gathering the following information for this update.
The head of Special Education for SUSD, Lois Healey informs us that the district has worked diligently all summer to fill Special Education assistant openings, but still has about 40 openings to fill.

The following link lists particular job openings:

http://www.susd.org/district/employment/hr sclass.cfm? wherejobtitle=assistant

The job application and other information can be found at: http://www.susd.org/district/employment/ap ply.cfm

If you know of any person able to fill one of these critical openings, please encourage them to apply for one of these positions immediately.

As you all know, paraeducators are an essential support to our children and the teachers who educate them.

Thank You.
