SEPACS was formed in May 2005 with following vision:
Mission:
Encourage a welcoming school culture throughout Scottsdale Unified School
District for students with special needs where their diverse educational,
emotional, and social needs are recognized, respected, and met.
The students will be fully integrated into the life of the school community.
Ensure that the education of students with special needs in SUSD will
appropriately prepare them to be successful, contributing members of
society.
Goals:

Improve communication between the
parents, schools, administration, staff, and organizations within the schools.

Educate parents, administration, and
students concerning issues related to Special Education.

Support and ensure equity across the
district’s Special Education programs.

Provide sensitivity training to the
general school population and teachers for the physical and emotional
well-being of the students with special needs.
Work with legislators and appropriate advocacy and government agencies on
issues related to education as they pertain to students with special needs.
