About SEPAC

SEPACS was formed in May 2005 with following vision: 

Mission:

  • Encourage a welcoming school culture throughout Scottsdale Unified School District for students with special needs where their diverse educational, emotional, and social needs are recognized,  respected, and met.
  • The students will be fully integrated into the life of the school community.
  • Ensure that the education of students with special needs in SUSD will appropriately prepare them to be successful, contributing members of society.

Goals:

  • Improve communication between the parents, schools, administration, staff, and organizations within the schools.
  • Educate parents, administration, and students concerning issues related to Special Education.
  • Support and ensure equity across the district’s Special Education programs.
  • Provide sensitivity training to the general school population and teachers for the physical and emotional well-being of the students with special needs.
  • Work with legislators and appropriate advocacy and government agencies on issues related to education as they pertain to students with special needs.
